Abstract: Cement slurries are provided for use in cementing oil and gas wells. The cement slurry comprises API Class C or Class H Portland cement and a pozzolan selected from the group consisting of pumice and mixtures of pumice and fly ash. Pumice is present in the mixtures in amounts at least about 40 wt % of the pozzolan. The weight ratio of the pozzolan to the cement is from about 35:65 to about 70:30. The novel cement slurries preferably will not comprise any additional lime, including hydrated lime, or other activators.

While some such manufactured objects are consistent in thickness, other are more irregular. Some manufactured objects are generally flat, but are also generally thicker along one edge. When objects having these characteristics are stacked, the cumulative effect of such inconsistent thickness results in an unbalanced stack. The disclosed apparatus and method utilize a novel rotating stacker that rotates the stack of manufactured objects as each new object is added to the stack, thereby distributing the thickness inconsistency of individual objects throughout the stack, producing a more uniform stack without manual intervention.

Abstract: Procedure for preparation of a product based on the leaves of the plant Sedum telephium for the treatment of nails infected with onychomycosis. The procedure consists in strip away the skin of the leaf of the Sedum telephium plant of one of its faces, after which the stripped face is impregnated with sulfanilamide powder and then applied as a dressing on nails infected with onychomycosis. It is also used for topical application in the form of cream or ointment on nails infected with onychomycosis.

Abstract: Spacer fluids are provided for use in cementing liners in oil and gas wells. The fluids comprise pumice and a suspending agent. Pumice is the first-in weighting agent and is added in amounts sufficient to stabilize the rheology of the fluid over time and temperature.

Abstract: Borate crosslinked fluids are provided for use in oil and gas well fracturing operations. The fluids have relatively low loadings of galactomannan gums such as guar. The guar is present in an amount from about 10 to about 15 ppt. A borate crosslinking agent comprising ulexite is used to crosslink the guar and control the viscosity of the fluid.

Abstract: A method of controlling engine internal exhaust gas recirculation may include estimating a flow restriction through a diesel particulate filter in an exhaust system of an engine assembly and adjusting a backpressure control valve in the exhaust system downstream of the diesel particulate filter based on the flow restriction. A controlled amount of internal exhaust gas recirculation may be provided to the engine assembly based on adjusting the backpressure control valve.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a core, comprising a body formed from a winding of tape shaped material, and a package encasing the body. A single gap is formed in the body and the package. A clamp is connected to the package to flex a flexible section of the package to reduce the gap.

Abstract: A multilayer capsule of the types which cover the neck of wine or liquor bottles is made is made exclusively of aluminum, or at least 98% by weight of aluminum. A production method for preparing the capsule can include forming a capsule body and fixing an aluminum disc in the upper part of the body. Another production method can include cutting a multilayer sheet into suitable size for the capsule; and forming the capsule by deep-drawing.

Abstract: A safety chain for conveyor pallets may comprise bent links arranged in alternating fashion with straight links. Each of the bent links may have two ends with a wheel disposed at each end. Each consecutive bent link and straight link may be joined at an articulation point. The safety chain may also comprise arms extending from each articulation point, wherein a conveyor pallet may be coupled to each arm. Further, roller guides that follow a trajectory of the safety chain may be arranged on one of two sides of the safety chain. The roller guides may rotate the wheels of the bent links. The articulation points enable rotation and position change of the bent links and the straight links so as to increase or decrease a distance between consecutive conveyor pallets according to a change of speed of a conveyor.

The compressor 20 is configured to mix and compress a liquid hydrocarbon fuel 15 and a first hydrocarbon gas fuel 17, thereby to form a liquid fuel mixture 21. The combustion engine 30 is disposed downstream of the compressor 20 and includes a dual fuel injection system 40 and a combustion chamber 50.
