  • Publication number: 20120248771
Abstract: The present invention defines a system and method aiming at measuring the direct solar radiation received by a wind turbine generator in order to detect ice formation. The measured value is subsequently compared to a theoretical radiation curve wherein measured values on a cloudy day will be well below theoretical curves. Ice detection is made considering the presence of clouds and temperature. Measured parameters are preferably the direct sun radiation transmittance and ambient temperature.

  • Publication number: 20120071179
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide an economic alternative to the current systems for sending messages, both text messages (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS), between telecommunication network users. For this purpose, use is made of the advantages of call signaling protocols, specifically the duration of the ringing tone in an unanswered call (commonly called “missed call”) for sending messages which are precoded and known by the system users. The method and system for sending messages between telephony terminals are designed such that they are used by the user in a very similar manner to the sending/receiving SMS and MMS messages, providing a simple and economic method (without associated direct cost) for sending messages between telephony users.

  • Patent number: 8123025
Abstract: The invention relates to a turnaround curve system for a chain conveyor system, having a chain having linear traction which is driven in turnaround sections by means of turnaround guides (7). The turnaround guides (7) have a geometry obtained by means of a family of curves corresponding to paths defined by six points (1-6), the six points (1-6) corresponding to six linkage positions of consecutive links of the chain in the turnaround sections. The system allows the turnaround sections to be more compact and extend the life of the rollers of the chain, since the rollers are subjected to smaller loads.

  • Publication number: 20110232696
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a compact heat exchanger for use in a mobile cleaning apparatus. The compact heat exchanger utilizes a water jacket, created by the annular space between a concentrically arranged internal housing and external housing. A radiator is enclosed within the internal housing. As super heated exhaust gas is supplied to the internal housing, heat is transferred to the surface of the internal housing before passing through the radiator. During operation of the mobile cleaning apparatus, incoming fluid, typically water, flows through an inlet and is directed through the water jacket and then the radiator for heating.

Abstract: An oral care device having a handle, a neck, and a pair of curved arms. The handle includes an enlarged distal end and a reduced proximal end, and a pair of downwardly-extending handle walls. The handle walls are spaced at their upper ends and converge with and join one another at their lower ends to define a substantially V-shaped cross-section and an upwardly-opening blind cavity. A neck extends distally from the handle and defines a tongue portion that is recessed relative to a top surface. A pair of curved arms extend distally and downwardly from the neck. When substantially identical oral care devices are stacked one upon the other, the upwardly-opening blind cavity of one oral care device nestingly receives the downwardly-extending handle walls of another oral care device.
