  • Patent number: 11885219
Abstract: A chemical injection system for a resource extraction system includes a controller having a memory and a processor. The memory stores instructions that cause the processor to receive a first pressure from a first pressure sensor of the resource extraction system, receive a second pressure from a second pressure sensor of the resource extraction system, determine a flowrate of a produced fluid of the resource extraction system based on the first pressure and the second pressure, determine an ion concentration of the produced fluid, and adjust an injection rate of a chemical into the resource extraction system based on the flowrate of the produced fluid, the ion concentration of the produced fluid, or both.

  • Publication number: 20230399938
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein generally relate to receiving real-time data from one or more sensors associated with equipment of a hydrocarbon well production system, predicting scale precipitation in the hydrocarbon well production system based at least in part on the real-time data, and automatically adjusting one or more operating parameters of the equipment based at least in part on the predicted scale precipitation. For example, automatically adjusting the one or more operating parameters of the equipment may include determining a scale inhibitor injection rate setpoint based at least in part on the predicted scale precipitation, and automatically adjusting a speed of one or more chemical injection pumps of a chemical injection system in accordance with the scale inhibitor injection rate setpoint.

  • Patent number: 11755947
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for offline evaluation of machine learning models with noise reduction are disclosed. A trigger computation system generates a plurality of experimental requests. The experimental requests do not represent unmodified requests received from clients in a production environment. At least one parameter value varies for individual ones of the experimental requests. The trigger computation system provides the experimental requests to a first machine learning model and a second machine learning model. The first machine learning model and the second machine learning model produce a set of results based at least in part on the experimental requests. The trigger computation system determines a reduced set of results for which the first machine learning model and the second machine learning model differ. An evaluation of the first machine learning model or the second machine learning model is performed using the reduced set of results.

  • Patent number: 11182305
Abstract: To reduce the computational resources used to generate a response, certain inputs from a first request and corresponding outputs are stored in a data structure that is returned to a client device concurrent with a response. When a subsequent request is received, if an input of the subsequent request matches an input stored in the data structure, the output that corresponds to that input is used in a response rather that recomputing the output. For inputs that do not match an input in the data structure, an output is computed and included in a response. The data structure is then returned to the client device concurrent with the subsequent response. Outputs in the data structure may be periodically validated, or may be associated with an expiration time, to ensure that the data structure includes current and valid data.

  • Patent number: 11053849
Abstract: A method of reducing applied heat within an inlet duct of a gas turbine generating electricity includes applying heat to the inlet duct of the gas turbine to attain an initial temperature set point and to produce conditions sufficient for preventing formation of ice within the inlet duct, measuring a position of an inlet guide vane (IGV) of the gas turbine, an inlet duct temperature, and an inlet duct relative humidity to determine a thermodynamic state in the inlet duct, evaluating the thermodynamic state to determine if the conditions are sufficient for preventing formation of ice within the inlet duct, and in response to determining that sufficient conditions exist within the inlet duct for preventing formation of ice, adjusting the applied heat to maintain the measured inlet duct temperature.

  • Patent number: 10844747
Abstract: A continuous flow machine has at least one annular guide vane carrier. The guide vane carrier, formed at least by a lower part and an upper part detachably connected to same, has at least three guide vane stages retained on the inner circumference of the at least one guide vane carrier, arranged axially behind one another in the flow direction and each having a plurality of radially extending guide vanes. Each of the guide vanes also has a guide vane blade, a base plate and a top plate, wherein the guide vane blade extends between the base plate and top plate. Via the arrangement of the securing pin in an intermediate space accessible in the assembled state, a partial disassembly of the individual guide vane stages is possible, independent of the remaining guide vane stages. The guide vane stages are conventionally mounted via retaining protrusions on neighbouring guide vane stages.
