Publication number: 20250248598Abstract: An optical coherence tomography scanning system traverses its respective scan pattern quickly, typically completing an entire two-dimensional frame faster than a conventional raster scanner completes one raster line segment. To traverse the scan pattern quickly, the system takes fewer A-scans per length of scan pattern than a conventional OCT scanner. To compensate for the sparsity of the sample points along the respective scan line segments, and for gaps between respective line segments of the trajectory, the system acquires and combines several partially overlapping frames for each study to generate a dense OCT image. A visible light camera captures an image for each traversal of the scan pattern, but only a predetermined subset of pixels in the visible light image, which correspond to locations on the anatomical item interrogated by a sample arm of the OCT, are used to color corresponding pixels in the dense OCT image.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2025Publication date: August 7, 2025Inventors: Christopher John Ciriello, Wei Kang, Phillip Getto, Angela Zhang, Nhan Le, Victor Grinberg, Justin LaRue

Publication number: 20250082446Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generate comprehensive and accurate three-dimensional (3D) models of dental anatomy from acquired Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) data of the dental anatomy and acquired Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) data of the dental anatomy. Generating the 3D model of the dental anatomy includes identifying one or more pathology volumes within the dental anatomy, based on the CBCT data and the OCT data.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2024Publication date: March 13, 2025Inventors: Christopher John Ciriello, Angela Zhang, Phillip Getto, Nhan Le, Wei Kang

Publication number: 20240011064Abstract: Methods for producing oligosaccharide products such as difucosylated oligosaccharides are disclosed. The methods include culturing recombinant cells in a cell culture medium comprising L-fucose, an oligosaccharide acceptor, and a carbon source. The cells are cultured under conditions in which a first fucosyltransferase polypeptide having a first substrate selectivity (e.g., an ?1-2-fucosyltransferase polypeptide), a second fucosyltransferase polypeptide having a second substrate specificity (e.g., an ?1-3-fucosyltransferase polypeptide), a nucleotide sugar pyrophosphorylase polypeptide, a lactose transporter polypeptide, and an L-fucose transporter polypeptide are expressed, and in which the oligosaccharide acceptor is converted to the difucosylated oligosaccharide. Recombinant cells for use in the methods are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2023Publication date: January 11, 2024Applicant: The Regents of the University of CaliforniaInventors: Shota ATSUMI, Angela ZHANG, Xi CHEN, Yuanyuan BAI, Hai YU, John B. Publication number: 20230306620Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods of providing live x-ray images such as fluoroscopic images in combination with reference information co-registered angiography frames that are motion corrected in real time. In part, the disclosure describes an improvement on the existing workflow where the user must remember where the vessel features from OCT are and use a reference frame to estimate the location of desired stent placement. Disclosed herein are methods to correlate the live imaging feed and the reference angiography image such that the user may dynamically zoom and pan the live imaging feed and the reference angiography image.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2023Publication date: September 28, 2023Applicant: LightLab Imaging, Inc.Inventors: Angela Zhang, Shimin Li, Robert Steinbrecher, Jack Fince, Paul Gervasio

Publication number: 20230018499Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to systems, methods, and algorithms to train a machine learning model or neural network to classify OCT images. The neural network or machine learning model can receive annotated OCT images indicating which portions of the OCT image are blocked and which are clear as well as a classification of the OCT image as clear or blocked. After training, the neural network can be used to classify one or more new OCT images. A user interface can be provided to output the results of the classification and summarize the analysis of the one or more OCT images.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2022Publication date: January 19, 2023Applicant: LightLab Imaging, Inc.Inventors: Justin Akira Blaber, Ajay Gopinath, Humphrey Chen, Kyle Edward Savidge, Angela Zhang, Gregory Patrick Amis

Publication number: 20220405551Abstract: Systems and methods to analyzes images of lateral flow assays are disclosed herein. An example image analysis system includes processor circuitry to (a) determine whether a format of an image of a lateral flow assay device satisfies a format threshold, (b) in response to determining the format of the image satisfies the format threshold, determine whether the lateral flow assay device in the image is authentic, (c) in response to determining the lateral flow assay device is authentic, determine whether a position of the lateral flow assay device in the image satisfies a position threshold, (d) in response to determining the position of the lateral flow assay device satisfies the position threshold, analyze the image to determine the result of the diagnostic test, and (e) abort the sequence of the operations during performance of the sequence of operations at the time any one of operations fails.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2022Publication date: December 22, 2022Inventors: Jinesh Jitendrakumar Jain, Bart Heerkens, Shimin Li, Angela Zhang, John Schullian, Ashna Iyer

Publication number: 20220236284Abstract: The invention provides therapeutic compositions that present an artificial repertoire of mammalian pattern recognition receptor (PRR) agonists, so that the pattern of PRR agonists recapitulates a distinct portion of a PRR agonist signature of a mammalian pathogen. The artificial repertoire of PRR agonists may be formulated together in a therapeutic vehicle for combined presentation to an innate immune cell resident in a target tissue in a mammalian host, and the vehicle adapted to deliver the PRR agonists to the target tissue, so as to modulate an immune response.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2021Publication date: July 28, 2022Inventors: Harold David Gunn, David W.
