  • Patent number: 9094411
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for resuming the evaluation of initial Filter Criteria (iFC) at a specific point. Two new parameters are defined for inclusion in the service logic of application servers and serving Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) servers. The first parameter, an iFC index parameter, is a number which indicates an index to a current specific position in the iFC evaluation. The S-CSCF may insert the iFC index parameter into route headers of SIP messages that originate from the S-CSCF to the application servers. The second parameter, an iFC resume parameter, is based on the iFC index parameter or another number along with an original dialog identifier, which the application servers may insert into route headers of SIP messages that originate from the application servers to the S-CSCF to indicate a desire to resume operations at the specific position in the iFC evaluation.

  • Publication number: 20150172324
Abstract: Method and apparatus for authorized Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) redirection are provided. A first SIP INVITE request is received at a destination server. A first target server of a set of target servers for further processing of redirected load is determined. The first target server is for further processing associated with the first SIP INVITE request. A redirection response including Universal Resource Identifiers (URIs) identifying the first target server and a Redirection Authorization Key (RAK) is sent. Inclusion of a valid RAK in a SIP INVITE is checked by a target server. If a valid RAK is not include in SIP INVITE, the SIP INVITE is denied.

  • Patent number: 8942668
Abstract: IMS networks and associated methods are disclosed that provide charging for CAMEL services provided in the IMS network. If a CAMEL service is provided by an application server for a session in an IMS network, then the application server generates CAMEL charging data for the service provided and also generates a charging message, such as a Diameter ACR message. The application server includes the CAMEL charging data in the charging message and transmits the charging message to a charging collector system. The charging collector system generates a CDR for the session, and maps the CAMEL charging data from the charging message to the CDR. The charging collector system then transmits the CDR to a billing system. The billing system may then charge for the CAMEL service provided in the IMS network.

  • Patent number: 7720474
Abstract: A method and system for forwarding calls in telecommunication networks are provided. More particularly, control of late call forwarding logic and routing is placed at the home network Gateway MSC and HLR, thus removing the home network service provider's dependency on the visited network capabilities.
