  • Patent number: 5538055
Abstract: Tank closure with a self-locking closure apparatus arranged at the orifice rim of a pour-in socket-piece. The closure apparatus consists of a closure part and a pour-in opening which is closable by means of the closure part. Between the rim of the opening and a refueling nozzle to be introduced a gas outlet gap remains for the gases which escape when refueling the tank. A guide is provided for reception of the refueling nozzle. In order to free the exiting gases from fluid droplets, it is provided that the guide exhibits a reduced-scale segment closely surrounding the refueling nozzle. Exit openings are provided at the side of the reduced-scale segment which is placed toward the pour-in socket-piece, through which the gases pass out of the guide to the outside. Inlet openings are arranged at the side of the reduced-scale segment which faces away from the tank, through which the gases in the interior of the guide enter.

  • Patent number: 5465861
Abstract: In a closure for closing the orifice 6 of a socket-piece 4, with a closure part 5, which is able to depart from its closure seat by swiveling, there is provided a constraining guide for the closure part 5, by means of which the closure part 5 is so guided that during the opening procedure it lifts from its closure seat in an approximately axial direction and, continuing on from this axial movement, is tilted away laterally to the outer wall. The constraining guide can consist of a coulisse guide or a lever-bar.

  • Patent number: 5022433
Abstract: A shut-off valve in a gas line leading to a fuel tank of a motor vehicle, comprising a valve seat and a valve body which is movable by means of the opening and closing movement of a fuel tank lock. In order to provide a valve which opens a large flow cross-section in the open position, it is provided that the valve body comprises a flexible diaphragm which is pretensioned against the valve seat, an actuating lever being fastened at the side of the diaphragm remote of the valve seat, the free end of the actuating lever communicating with a tappet which is movable transversely relative to the longitudinal axis of the actuating lever and is coupled with the fuel tank lock. The valve seat is enclosed by an annular space which can be completely covered by the diaphragm, wherein the annular space communicates with a branch of the gas line and the interior space of the valve seat communicates with the other branch of the gas line.
