  • Patent number: 11511559
Abstract: The present invention relates to an optically variable security element for securing valuable articles, having a substrate having opposing first and second main surfaces and, arranged on the first main surface, an optically variable pattern that comprises an embossing pattern and a coating. The coating comprises at least one imprinted line grid and a background layer that contrasts with the line grid. The embossing pattern comprises a two-dimensional grid of elevated and/or depressed embossing elements. Both are combined in such a way that substantially on every embossing element lies at least one line segment of a line in the line grid, and at least one of the parameters position of the line segment on the embossing element, orientation of the line segment on the embossing element and form of the line segment varies location dependently across the dimension of the optically variable pattern.

  • Patent number: 7559278
Abstract: A sleeve, in particular a rubber-blanket sleeve, for a printing press is disclosed. The sleeve having a construction which has at least two layers, having an inner layer which is configured as a carrier layer and an outer layer which is configured as a covering layer and serves for pressure transfer, the sleeve having a hollow-cylindrical design with a cylindrical inner surface and a cylindrical outer surface. The inner layer which is configured as a carrier layer is convexly or concavely curved on the radially outer side, a layer which adjoins the carrier layer having a curvature on a radially inner side which is complementary to the curvature of the radially outer side of the carrier layer.

  • Patent number: 7395759
Abstract: The invention relates to a sleeve, particularly a rubber blanket sheath, for a printing machine. The sleeve (10) has a two-layer structure comprising an internal layer designed as support layer (11), and an external layer designed as cover layer (12) and used for the print transfer, with the external or cover layer (12) being connected directly to the internal or support layer (11). A three layer composite sheath also is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070169652
Abstract: A sleeve for a cylinder, in particular for a transfer cylinder or a blanket cylinder, of a printing press, having a base body which has at least one layer and a replaceable body which has at least one layer. The base body is connected fixedly to a cylinder of a printing press and the replaceable body can be pulled off, or replaced, from the base body, and thus, the cylinder of the printing press without being destroyed, in particular to carry out changeover work.

  • Publication number: 20060070540
Abstract: A sleeve, in particular spacer sleeve, for variable-format printing presses, has at least two metallic layers, and at least one dimensionally stable intermediate layer arranged between a first, inner metallic carrier. layer and a second, outer metallic covering layer. The at least one intermediate layer determines the thickness or wall thickness of the sleeve.
