  • Publication number: 20230390788
Abstract: A self-draining separator for centrifugal separation of a suspension into a light liquid phase, a heavy solid phase, and a moderately heavy intermediate phase. The separator includes a rotatable centrifuging drum, a liquid discharge for the light liquid phase, a discontinuously active solid matter discharge opening for the heavy solid phase, to which a first actuatable discharge device is assigned, by way of which the solid matter discharge opening can be discontinuously opened and closed. The separator also includes a discontinuously active discharge opening for the intermediate phase, to which at least one second actuatable discharge device is assigned, by way of which the discharge opening for the intermediate phase can be discontinuously opened and closed again.

  • Patent number: 10894259
Abstract: A separator with a rotating system includes a drum with a vertical axis of rotation, which drum is rotatable during operation, and a drum inner chamber subdivided into a lower double-conical centrifuging chamber and an upper double-conical centrifuging chamber. Both centrifuging chambers have solids discharge openings that are openable and closable in the lower centrifuging chamber by a piston slide and in the upper centrifuging chamber by an auxiliary slide. The mass moment of inertia JQ of the rotating system about a transverse axis Q extending through the center of gravity S of the rotating system of the drum and which is perpendicular to the vertical axis of rotation D is greater than the mass moment of inertia JD of the rotating system about the vertical axis of rotation D of the rotating system.

  • Publication number: 20180214893
Abstract: A separator drum for a separator for centrifugally separating a suspension into at least one liquid phase and one solid phase or into two liquid phases and preferably one solid phase. The separator drum includes a vertical axis of rotation, and a drum lower part and a drum upper part, into which a product to be processed can be fed, into a drum interior, via a feed tube and a distributor. The distributor has a distributor shaft, a conical distributor foot, distributor channels, formed in the distributor foot, into the drum interior, at least one liquid outlet, and at least one solid outlet. The distributor foot has a lower distributor foot base and an upper distributor foot cover plate, which can be mounted on the distributor separately from the conical distributor foot base.

  • Publication number: 20160184836
Abstract: A separator for the centrifugal separation of a flowable product into various phases or for the centrifugal clarification of a product includes a rotatable drum having a drum lower section and a drum upper section, a product clarifying arrangement arranged in the drum for clarifying a product to be treated in the centrifugal field. One or more, of all of the following elements are made from plastic or a plastic composite, the drum lower section, the drum upper section, the clarifying arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7416523
Abstract: A separator for the clarification or separation of liquids includes a double-cone drum having a metal conical drum top part and a metal conical drum bottom part. The drum top part and the drum bottom part are made as metal plates and the double-cone drum has a largest inside diameter greater than 1000 mm. A disk stack including a stack of conical separating disks is arranged in the double-cone drum. The drum bottom part has at least two drum shell sections with different outer angles of taper with respect to an axis of rotation of the double-cone drum.
