    Abstract: A skirt or skirt portion of a dress is convertible into shorts or other pant-like garment by means of a concealed crotch panel that may be connected between the front and rear portion of the skirt between the legs of the wearer. Draw strings or other gathering means are provided adjacent the lower edge of the skirt in order to draw and gather the sides on either side of the crotch into fitting engagement with the legs of the wearer.
