  • Patent number: 11772796
Abstract: An item to be secured to an aircraft floor can be secured to a Load Transfer Structure that resides under the floor, via access passages provided in selected floor panels. The Load Transfer Structure transfers the weight of the item to members of the airframe, and is designed to accommodate loads during normal flight without restricting the designed movement of the airframe; however, under abnormal conditions such as a crash, the Load Transfer Structure engages members of the airframe to transfer loads thereto to secure the item.

  • Patent number: 5535620
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for testing an engine designed to be run under the control of an engine control module. The system modifies the operation of the engine while maintaining the engine control module active so as to allow control of the engine to be transferred between the engine management system and the engine control module. The present invention allows an operator to alter the operation of the engine by varying the signals to the engine's injectors and ignition systems. While the engine is operating under user defined injector signals, a simulated exhaust gas signal is provided to the engine control module. This simulated exhaust gas signal allows the engine to be tested under operating conditions where the exhaust gas generated would cause correction by the engine control module making the test condition sought unsustainable.

  • Patent number: 5396794
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for catalytic aging and a system for catalytic aging. The system modifies the operation of the engine while running in combination with a catalyst, making the engine a programmable gas generator for the catalyst. The present invention allows an operator to alter the operation of the engine by varying the signals to the engine's injectors, thereby altering the exhaust gas of the engine. While the engine is operating under user initiated injector signals, a simulated exhaust gas oxygen signal is provided to the engine control module. This signal results in maintaining the engine in stable operation while operating in an unstable state. In a preferred embodiment additional gases are injected into the exhaust gas being supplied to the catalyst. The system periodically returns all functions to the engine control modules allowing the establishment of new operating parameters for the engine.
