Patent number: 11875822Abstract: Systems and techniques for validation and generation of localized content for audio and video are described herein. The systems and techniques provide for training of twin neural networks to evaluate performance characteristics, sometimes referred to as content-auxiliary characteristics, of a localized performance. The localized performance may be validated or improved by identifying misalignment in the performance characteristics to ensure that localized content preserves content as well as creative intent and performance ability in the final product. The machine learning models trained using the techniques described herein may be used in connection with auto-localization processes to automatically generate high quality localized audio and video content.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2022Date of Patent: January 16, 2024Inventors: Rohun Tripathi, Angshuman Saha, Naveen Sudhakaran Nair

Publication number: 20160178414Abstract: Embodiments allow data cleaning of industrial data gathered from at least one sensor. The data cleaning utilizes a workflow that defines at least one cleaning step to be performed. Each cleaning step comprises detecting defects based on at least one constraint such as various models and/or statistics. Potential defects are presented to a user for feedback. The data is cleaned based on the feedback. Multiple copies of the data are stored to track all the various cleaning choices. All choices can be rolled back at will so that cleaning decisions made can be eliminated and different choices applied. Intermediate data is captured to allow reporting and auditing of the cleaning process.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2014Publication date: June 23, 2016Inventors: Angshuman Saha, Sridhar Dasaratha, Nitika Bhaskar, Janna Lindenberg, Richard Vagliani

Patent number: 7966331Abstract: A method and system for assessing and optimizing crude selection are provided. A predictive engine uses data from a database to execute at least one predictive performance model and/or at least one risk assessment model designed to optimize or improve refining operations during a refining process. The predictive engine takes as input key crude information corresponding to a particular crude or crude blend, e.g., at least one crude slate, and refinery operating parameters and/or conditions corresponding to a specific refinery and uses desirability metrics to assess the similarity to data in the database. Patent number: 6404817Abstract: A video decoder is provided with robust error handling and concealment. In one embodiment, the video decoder detects syntactic, semantic, and coding errors in encoded slices of macroblocks. An error handler determines the number of remaining un-decoded macroblocks in the corrupted slice and replaces these corrupted macroblocks using substitute DCT coefficient matrices and motion vectors. The zero-frequency DCT coefficient of each substitute matrix is set equal to the zero-frequency DCT coefficient of the last uncorrupted macroblock, while the higher frequency DCT coefficients are set equal to zero. The substitute motion vectors are provided from a concealment vector memory which buffers the motion vectors of the previous macroblock row. In this way, intelligent approximations are made for the missing macroblocks, effectively masking the video bitstream error.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 1997Date of Patent: June 11, 2002Assignee: LSI Logic CorporationInventors: Angshuman Saha, Satish Soman

Patent number: 6266091Abstract: A system and method for low delay mode operation video decoding embodied in a prefetch buffer and an mbcore including an mbcore pipeline. The mbcore is adapted to check a status of the prefetch buffer at predetermined times and to implement a low delay mode to delay the mbcore pipeline when a data level of the prefetch buffer goes below a threshold at the predetermined times. The mbcore is adapted to ensure that there is a sufficient quantity of data in the prefetch buffer for a particular operation and, in a preferred embodiment, is adapted to check the status of the prefetch buffer at a start of a slice, at a beginning of dct decoding of each coded block. The prefetch buffer and the mbcore operate asynchronously, with the mbcore being adapted to prevent a symbol from splitting between the prefetch buffer and the mbcore.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 1997Date of Patent: July 24, 2001Assignee: LSI Logic CorporationInventors: Angshuman Saha, Satish Soman, Surya P.
