The method can detect that a session between the web browser and the web server has been initiated and monitor the communications to determine if any of the one or more tracked features are used. The method can further retrieve data from the communication when the communication is triggered by a tracked feature and save the data to a database. The data retrieved can include an identifier of the tracked feature and the session between the web browser and the web server. The method can save the data to the database in a different manner according to the types of the one or more tracked features. Other embodiments are disclosed.
