Abstract: The present invention provides plant growth-promoting activities of natural plant active constituent calliterpenone and its derivatives belonging to the group phyllocladane diterpenoids. These phytochemicals and derivatives exhibit remarkable growth promoting activities on plant roots, shoots and promote seed germination both in monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants. These phytomolecules possess the antagonistic activity against allelochemicals of plant growth retardant nature and hence can be used to alleviate their detrimental effects.

Abstract: The invention provides an analgesic and refreshing herbal composition useful as dentrifrices, said composition comprising 50-60% Wt. of betle extract (from Piper betle leaves); 40-50% Wt. of one or more group I essential oil selected from Levender officinal, Dementholised oil (ex-Mentha arvensis), Fennel oil and Ocimum gratissimum; 3.5-6% Wt. of one or more group II essential oils and their isolates selected from Ocimum Sanctum, Pulegone (ex Mentha pulegonium), Carvone (ex. Abstract: This invention relates to a new and distinct mint plant of Mentha arvensis ‘Saksham’, developed through tissue culture, possessing the following combination of characters namely producing higher amount of menthol with high essential oil yield as well as herbage yield; possessing better growth and vegetative growth with high regenerability; has distinct molecular profile by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD); retains the characteristics of tolerance to leaf spot, rust and powdery mildew as in the parent variety ‘Himalaya’; has light greenish leaves, pinkish white flowers like the parent plant ‘Himalaya’, this new plant is able to produce higher herbage, oil and menthol yield per unit area as compared to other existing improved varieties.
