  • Patent number: 8595241
Abstract: A system and method for enhancing the number of page views of a web site or other digitally distributed interactive medium. A custom content hosting service allows a publisher to augment the contents of its own site with additional pages. The custom content hosting service provides content based on a topic supplied by the publisher, extracting data from a database of generic content. Generic content may include, for example, news feeds and news archives; news and archive photographs; links to blogs and other sites; etc. The publisher may customize the look and feel of the hosted pages to allow seamless integration into its own site.

  • Patent number: 8255266
Abstract: A global demand forecast is generated for a product group in a computer system, where the product group comprises a plurality of products of a predefined genre. A historical relationship between an aggregate of product level demand forecasts and actual demand for the products in the product group, and the global demand forecast are used to adjust a critical ratio employed to generate a product level demand forecast in the computer system for a product in the product group. The critical ratio expresses a probability that the product level demand forecast will exceed an actual demand for a corresponding product.

  • Patent number: 8131581
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are provided to adjust a product demand forecast. In one embodiment, a value is determined of an aggregation of a plurality of product level demand forecasts for a respective plurality of products in a product group at a desired value of a critical ratio. The critical ratio expresses a probability that a forecast will exceed a demand for a given product. A ratio is determined of the aggregation of the product level demand forecasts to a global demand forecast for the product group in the computer system. The ratio is verified as to whether it is congruous with a historical ratio of past aggregate product level demand forecasts to actual product demand.

  • Publication number: 20060086118
Abstract: A structure, system and method for controlling a temperature of a heat generating device in a solid medium, wherein heat is extracted from the medium into at least one heat extraction device, the heat extraction device dissipates heat into an environment apart from the medium by a heat sink thermally coupled to the heat extraction device; and heat from the medium is dissipated into the heat sink by a first thermal interface material thermally coupling the heat sink to the medium.
