  • Publication number: 20230058305
Abstract: Described herein are methods and compositions for diagnosing, treating, or ameliorating symptoms of cancer, including MYC-driven and KRAS-driven cancer, with therapeutic HNB polypeptides. In some embodiments, disclosed herein are compositions comprising a synthetic nucleic acid sequence encoding a Plasmacytoma variant translocation 1_217 (PVT1_217) splice variant micropeptide, wherein the PVT1_217 splice variant micropeptide comprises at least 10 contiguous amino acids that are identical to a peptide encoded by a short open reading frame (shORF) located at the junction of Exon 3 and Exon 4 of human PVT 1_217.

    Publication date: February 23, 2023
    Inventors: Anindya BAGCHI, Ashutosh TIWARI
  • Publication number: 20230020401
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions comprising a vaccine composition and an agent that triggers metabolic reprogramming of B cells and methods of using the agent that triggers metabolic reprogramming of B cells to increase effectiveness of the vaccine by increasing memory B cell population. One aspect of the disclosure includes a method of increasing the effectiveness of a vaccine in a subject, which comprises administering a B cell metabolic reprogramming agent to the subject in a dose and schedule configured to increase the effectiveness of the vaccine, wherein the subject is administered with the vaccine.

  • Patent number: 9878002
Abstract: This disclosure describes methods and compositions that involve endogenous retrovirus proteins as diagnostic markers and/or therapeutic agents. The detection of endogenous retrovirus envelope proteins on a cell surface can indicate early neoplasticity of the cell. Antibody compositions that specifically bind to cell-surface-expressed endogenous retrovirus proteins may be used in such diagnostic methods. Overexpression of the endogenous retrovirus proteins can slow cell growth and decrease cell viability.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 24, 2014
Date of Patent: January 30, 2018
Assignee: REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA
Inventors: Robyn Lynn Leary, Anindya Bagchi, Aaron Lyman Sarver
