The method further includes communicating a credit approval request based on the transaction approval request to an issuer system and, in response to receiving a message from the issuer system including a decline or an approval of less than the full transaction amount, determining customer data used to evaluate an extension of credit to the customer. The method further includes communicating the customer data to a third party credit provider system and receiving a credit approval message from the third party credit provider system including a credit transaction amount to fulfill the full transaction amount. The method further includes communicating a transaction approval message including the full transaction amount.
