  • Publication number: 20230308863
Abstract: The embodiments herein disclose methods for configuring an UWB system. The method includes defining, by a first UWB device, a plurality of predefined configuration associated with a plurality of service in the first UWB device, selecting, by the first UWB device, at least one predefined configuration from the plurality of predefined configuration to be shared with at least one second UWB device, sharing, by the first UWB device, at least one of an ID of the at least one predefined configuration from the plurality of predefined configuration, a deviated parameter and a deviated parameter value combined with the ID of the predefined configuration from the plurality of predefined configuration to the at least one second UWB device based on the selection.

  • Publication number: 20230276212
Abstract: A method performed by a first ultra-wideband (UWB) device in a wireless communication system is provided. The method may include: transmitting, to a second UWB device, a request message for fetching service related information for at least one service; and in case that the at least one service is supported by the second UWB device, receiving, from the second UWB device, a response message including the service related information for the at least one service.

  • Patent number: 11728841
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method for providing regulatory information by a first device in an ultra-wide band (UWB) system is provided. The method includes indicating availability of the regulatory information to a second device; and providing the regulatory information to the second device based on the availability of the regulatory information, wherein the regulatory information includes at least one of a confidence level indicating a source of the regulatory information, a country code, a time stamp.

  • Publication number: 20230039287
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for handling communication in ultra-wideband (UWB) system. A first electronic device discovers at least one second electronic device to be on-boarded. The method and system perform at least one of determining, by the first electronic device, that the at least one discovered second electronic device is within an on-boarding range, and configuring information to the at least one discovered second electronic device by a connectionless message. The first electronic device establishes the communication with the at least one discovered second electronic device in the UWB system.

  • Patent number: 10462825
Abstract: In LTE Random Access Channel (RACH) mechanism, devices use slotted ALOHA based protocol for RACH message exchange. During these messages exchange, if a device does not get a response from a base-station (BS), the device assumes that it is not able to reach base station due to insufficient transmission power and increases transmit power to reach to the base station. However, at higher density most of requests are lost due to collision. In existing RACH procedure, device unnecessarily ramps power in next RACH process which leads to power wastage in already resource constrained device. When there is failure of reception of RACH process, the present disclosure computes time delays (TD) based on a RSSI value obtained from a message transmitted by the BS, and initiates RACH process accordingly. The embodiments further enable requests transmission from device to BS by ramping power of the devices based on the computed TD.
