Abstract: There is provided a system and method for processing and storage of a time-series data stream. The method including: separating an input time-series data stream into a value array and a time array; segmenting the value array into blocks, each block including a plurality of consecutive values; performing iterations of delta encoding on the values in each block; organizing multiple delta encoded blocks in an output file structure, the output file structure further comprising the time array associated with the values in the block and a block header, the block header including: the number of values in the block; initial values for the delta encoding; and the number of iterations of delta encoding applied on the block; and outputting the multiple blocks in the output file structure.

Abstract: A multivariate spirometer and associated systems and methods are described. The spirometer has a housing defining a flow path and one or more sensors for detecting CO2 concentration values, temperature and/or flow rates of air in the flow path. The spirometer may be configured to generate time series data by sampling CO2 concentration values, temperature and/or flow rates at a predetermined frequency during inhalation and/or exhalation. Optionally, a processor is used to generate one or more output readings based on the CO2 concentration values, temperatures and/or flow rates.

The apparatus may comprise a container for holding the product defined by an at least one wall; a display device attached to the at least one wall; and an input device attached to the at least one wall for receiving user input, and if the user input matches a predetermined value, presenting a purchase identifier. In some cases, the container is a removably locking anti-theft device that is removably attached to the product. In some cases, the display device is an electronic ink display.

Abstract: A method of simulating a tremor in a subject and evoking an empathetic response in the subject towards a patient suffering from tremors, the method comprising: synthesizing a tremor inducing signal, which may be done by capturing and analyzing EMG measures of electrical pulses derived from a sensed neuromuscular event associated with tremors experienced by a patient; and applying an electrical muscle stimulation to the subject using the synthesized pulses associated with the patient experiencing tremors.
