  • Patent number: 10915517
Abstract: A memory stores a first cache and a second cache. A processor copies a first portion of data from a first table stored in a database into a second table, performs statistical analysis on the first portion, and stores the results into the second table. The processor further determines that a second portion of data from the first table will be overwritten, copies the second portion into a third table, performs statistical analysis on the second portion and stores the results into the third table. The processor further determines that a probability that a user will access a third portion of the first table is greater than a threshold and copies the third portion into the first cache. The processor further determines a fourth portion of the first table that the user accesses at a frequency greater than a set frequency and copies the fourth portion into the second cache.

  • Publication number: 20210037015
Abstract: Client devices in public workspaces are typically reconfigured to default settings for each new user. Thus, a user may manually pre-configure a publicly accessible client device each time the user accesses a virtual workspace via the device. Systems and methods according to this disclosure provide client device configuration based on user identification. Upon launching a remote access application on a “fresh” client device that has not been configured for remote access, the user may be prompted to provide user identifying information, such as, biometric information. A user identification may be determined based on the user identifying information. Various configuration settings may be determined based on the user identification. The client device may be configured based on the determined configuration settings. After the client device is configured, the user may be prompted for authentication credentials. If the user is successfully authenticated, the user is authorized to access the user's virtual workspace.

  • Publication number: 20210024847
Abstract: Coating compositions, coatings, and coated articles are provided exhibiting drag-reducing properties. The drag reduction can lead to improved flow, e.g. an improved measure of slip length, over both laminar and turbulent flow conditions, e.g. for Reynolds numbers less than 2,000 to as much as about 500,000. The coating compositions include abase matrix and an effluent polymer dispersed in the base resin in such a way that, when an exposed surface of the drag-reducing coating is exposed to an aqueous medium, the effluent polymer migrates to the exposed surface of the drag-reducing coating and into the aqueous medium at or near the exposed surface to create a diluted effluent polymer solution in the aqueous medium at or near the exposed surface; wherein the diluted effluent polymer solution reduces a drag of the surface moving through the aqueous medium.

  • Publication number: 20210019740
Abstract: Technologies are shown for selecting a provider to service a client service request using a predictive metrics based consensus protocol to select a provider and create a service request transaction block to service the client service request. A client service request is received and forwarded to a set of providers. Proposed transactions are received from the providers and scored based on a predictive metric. A proposal transaction is selected based on the scoring and the selected transaction is written as a block on a service transaction blockchain. The provider for the selected transaction detects the block on the blockchain and performs the requested service. The client detects the block on the blockchain and transfers payment to the provider. Selection can be based on predictive metrics in the providers or macro metrics determined in miner nodes in combination with provider reputation, currency, load sharing, fairness, provisioning, and static and dynamic criteria.

  • Publication number: 20210011760
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for abstracting tasks in virtual memory identifier (VMID) containers are disclosed. A processor coupled to a memory executes a plurality of concurrent tasks including a first task. Responsive to detecting one or more instructions of the first task which correspond to a first operation, the processor retrieves a first identifier (ID) which is used to uniquely identify the first task, wherein the first ID is transparent to the first task. Then, the processor maps the first ID to a second ID and/or a third ID. The processor completes the first operation by using the second ID and/or the third ID to identify the first task to at least a first data structure. In one implementation, the first operation is a memory access operation and the first data structure is a set of page tables. Also, in one implementation, the second ID identifies a first application of the first task and the third ID identifies a first operating system (OS) of the first task.

  • Patent number: 10891253
Abstract: An originating host device in a distribution chain is provided upstream from multiple host devices including intermediary and terminating host devices. The originating host device includes a core with a generation application and a first RDMA NIC. The core: determines a plan for transferring data between the originating host device and the other host devices; and generates WQEs to implement the plan. The first RDMA NIC includes a read application, a descriptor application, and a reception application. The read application is configured such that the first RDMA NIC reads the WQEs from a first memory. The descriptor application is configured such that the first RDMA NIC: writes a portion of the WQEs directly from the first RDMA NIC to a second memory of the intermediary host device; and triggers a second RDMA NIC of the intermediary host device to process the portion of the WQEs stored in the second memory.
