  • Publication number: 20240146207
Abstract: An electrical system can include an isolated bidirectional converter (having an input couplable to a grid connection and an output couplable to a battery) and an isolated converter (having an input coupled to the input of the isolated bidirectional converter and couplable to the grid connection, with an AC output coupled to a convenience outlet). The electrical system can further include a controller that controls operation of the converters to operate in one of a plurality of modes including a charging mode in which the isolated bidirectional converter operates in a forward direction to charge the battery and the non-isolated converter powers the convenience outlet from the grid connection, and a non-charging mode in which the isolated bidirectional converter operates in a reverse direction to power the non-isolated converter from the battery and the non-isolated converter powers the convenience outlet.

  • Patent number: 11935416
Abstract: A process can include obtaining a plurality of data points each associated with a respective edge device of a fleet of edge devices, each respective edge device associated with an edge site location or edge device asset group. The plurality of data points are stored to a fleet map data catalog and a filtering selection for viewing a filtered subset of the fleet map data catalog is received, indicating a selected geographic view area and selected edge device types from a plurality of edge device types. Data points corresponding to the filtered subset are obtained from the fleet map data catalog using the filtering selection. A fleet map GUI view is generated using the data points corresponding to the filtered subset, the fleet map GUI view comprising a converged geographic map of the selected geographic view area, with data points are rendered at corresponding locations within the converged geographic map.

  • Patent number: 11356837
Abstract: A method performed by a station that includes receiving information from a cell of a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), determining whether the information indicates the cell supports circuit switched fallback (CSFB) voice calls, when the CSFB voice calls are not supported, determining whether at least one packet switched voice property of the station satisfies a predetermined condition and attaching to the cell of the PLMN when the predetermined condition is satisfied. A further method performed by a station connected to a PLMN that includes identifying cells of the PLMN available for the station to camp on, determining whether the station is capable of executing packet switched calls, when the station is not capable of executing packet switched calls, determining whether the identified cells have a neighbor cell that supports CSFB voice calls and prioritizing the cells that are identified as having neighbor cells that support CSFB voice calls.

  • Patent number: 10547558
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for a user equipment to implement a dynamic discard timer. The user equipment may generate a packet for transmission and store the packet in a buffer of the user equipment. The user equipment may then generate a timeout value for a discard timer for the buffer, where the discard timer discards the packet from the buffer when the timeout value is reached. After a predetermined amount of time, the user equipment may determine whether the packet has been discarded from the buffer and, when it is determined that the packet has not been discarded from the buffer, update the timeout value.

  • Publication number: 20180266946
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for gas sensing over a wide tunable wavelength range provided by one or more quantum cascade lasers. A laser beam is generated within the wide tunable wavelength range, which is given by the sum of the wavelength ranges from the individual lasers. Gas sensing or detection is achieved by obtaining an infrared absorption spectrum for a sample contained in one or more cells having different path lengths for the laser beam.

  • Patent number: 9734093
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing secured storage devices in an Information Handling System (IHS) are described. In some embodiments, a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) may have program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the BMC to: identify a triggering event; send an alert to a Chassis Management Controller (CMC); receive, from the CMC, a request for one or more security keys pair usable to authenticate one or more secured Solid State Drives (SSDs) in a new configuration different from a previous configuration; and provide a response to the CMC.

  • Patent number: 9735549
Abstract: Photonic integrated circuits (PICs) are based on quantum cascade (QC) structures. In embodiment methods and corresponding devices, a QC layer in a wave confinement region of an integrated multi-layer semiconductor structure capable of producing optical gain is depleted of free charge carriers to create a low-loss optical wave confinement region in a portion of the structure. Ion implantation may be used to create energetically deep trap levels to trap free charge carriers. Other embodiments include modifying a region of a passive, depleted QC structure to produce an active region capable of optical gain. Gain or loss may also be modified by partially depleting or enhancing free charge carrier density. QC lasers and amplifiers may be integrated monolithically with each other or with passive waveguides and other passive devices in a self-aligned manner. Embodiments overcome challenges of high cost, complex fabrication, and coupling loss involved with material re-growth methods.
