Abstract: An apparatus that monitors the brushing history of a user is provided. In one embodiment, the apparatus, such as a toothbrush, may capture brushing data when a user is brushing teeth, and store the captured brushing data in a database of the apparatus.

Abstract: A system for counting shoe and uploading data to a centralized server. The system includes a shoe that counts the number of steps a user takes during a predefined period of time. When the number of steps are greater than a predefined number, e.g., a target, the shoe displays a message congratulating the user. For example, when the target is reach, the display will show a winner message on the shoe. The shoe may be placed on a charging (or docking) station, allowing the shoe to be charged. The charging station may also download the data from the shoe, and transmit the data to a central server.
