    Abstract: The present disclosure presents methods and apparatuses for managing Multimode System Selection in one or more user equipment in a wireless system. According to some aspects of the present disclosure, such a method may include discovering whether a user equipment (UE) contains at least one 3GPP network subscription and at least one 3GPP2 network subscription, determining whether 3GPP2 network subscription information is stored on a Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) or a nonvolatile memory (NV) associated with the UE where the UE contains at least one 3GPP network subscription and at least one 3GPP2 network subscription, and performing a read operation on one or both of the UICC and NV to obtain one or more Multimode System Selection (MMSS) base files based on the determining.
