  • Patent number: 10228064
Abstract: A refrigeration valve having a valve body having an inlet, an outlet, and a flow passage defined therebetween, an expansion valve in the flow passage, a first hand valve between the inlet and the expansion valve, and a second hand valve between the outlet and the expansion valve. The first and second hand valves are provided at a top of the valve body and are movable in a first direction for preventing fluid flow through the flow passage. By providing the first and second hand valves at the top of the valve body rather than at a bottom of the valve body, valve life is increased and the valves are not prevented from operating due to particulate build up in the valves.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 3, 2018
Date of Patent: March 12, 2019
    Assignee: Parker-Hannifin Corporation

  • Publication number: 20020127512
Abstract: An adapter for use with a piezoelectric and/or magnetostrictive ultrasonic unit can be coupled between the handpiece and the cable. The adapter includes a symmetrically oriented flow path with offset ends to mate with the handpiece and the cable respectively. The adapter also includes a rotary electrical connection facilitating the transfer of energy from the cable to the handpiece while the handpiece is being rotated. The rotary connection of the adapter can be integrated into either of the handpiece or the cable termination.

  • Patent number: 6085107
Abstract: A radio communication method and system employs power level presetting to mitigate the increase in interference caused by the discontinuous transmission of mobile stations. In the downlink, power presetting entails detecting the entry (or removal) of mobile stations to a cell, and in response thereto, calculating a plurality of power adjustment values for each mobile station within the cell. In the uplink, power presetting entails estimating an increase in interference caused by the entry (or removal) of mobile stations to a cell, and using this estimate for calculating an updated power target for each mobile station within the cell. Power presetting is also initiated in response to one or more mobile stations switching from high data-rate mode to low data-rate mode, or vice versa.
