  • Patent number: 11395883
Abstract: A plunger for a medical syringe includes a plunger body having a longitudinal axis, a lateral surface, a front side and a rear side, wherein a first sealing bead is associated with the front side of the plunger, the rear side is used for connecting to a plunger rod and, in addition, a front part of the plunger including the front side is covered with a film-like cover layer for otherwise separating the plunger from the medical substance in the use position. In addition, the cover layer be configured with different thicknesses, wherein the thickness is greatest in the region of the longitudinal axis and decreases radially outwards from the longitudinal axis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 4, 2017
Date of Patent: July 26, 2022
Assignees: Datwyler Pharma Packaging International NV, Hasselt Universiteit

  • Patent number: 5163919
Abstract: An obturating structure and a container provided with such an obturating structure and a syringe comprising a slidable obturating structure acting as a stopper; and a process for treating an obturating structure prepared at least from one elastomeric material and intended for a static or dynamic seal of a container holding a pharmaceutical or medical preparation, in which process at least the elastomeric part of the obturating structure is at least partially subjected to a treatment with elementary halogen or chemical compound(s) containing reactive halogen.

  • Patent number: 4620857
Abstract: A porous solid such as a zeolite of clay can be degassed to make it suitable as an adsorbent, after which the entrances of the pores are narrowed to a desired size by treating the porous solid with two chemisorbable materials, one of which is diborane. The treatment may be repeated. The purpose of the first such treatment is to make the pore entrances so narrow, that unduly large molecules cannot enter and the smaller ones can, while a later treatment may serve to narrow the pores still further, so that the adsorbed molecules cannot escape.

  • Patent number: 4569683
Abstract: A clay material of the polygorskite group, pretreated or not, is degassed and contacted with a gas to be adsorbed and after adsorption the clay is heated while in contact with the gas so that the clay structure collapses, encapsulating the adsorbed gas. If desired the entrances of the pores may be narrowed to a desired size by adsorption of diborane before the adsorption of the gas.
