  • Patent number: 11611738
Abstract: A 2D/3D conversion interface component is configured to override the video processing capabilities associated with a conventional 2D display, re-formatting an incoming 3D video stream into a version compatible with a 2D display while preserving the 3D-type of presentation. An incoming “side-by-side” (SBS) 3D video stream is re-formatted into a “frame sequential” (serialized) format that appears as a conventional video stream input to the 2D display. The interface component also generates as an output a timing signal (synchronized with the converted frames) that is transmitted to a 3D viewing device (e.g., glasses). Therefore, as along as the 3D viewing device remains synchronized with the sequence of frames shown on the 2D display, the user will actually be viewing an interactive 3D video.

  • Patent number: 11599421
Abstract: A shared-nothing database system is provided in which parallelism and workload balancing are increased by assigning the rows of each table to “slices”, and storing multiple copies (“duplicas”) of each slice across the persistent storage of multiple nodes of the shared-nothing database system. When the data for a table is distributed among the nodes of a shared-nothing system in this manner, requests to read data from a particular row of the table may be handled by any node that stores a duplica of the slice to which the row is assigned. For each slice, a single duplica of the slice is designated as the “primary duplica”. All DML operations (e.g. inserts, deletes, updates, etc.) that target a particular row of the table are performed by the node that has the primary duplica of the slice to which the particular row is assigned. The changes made by the DML operations are then propagated from the primary duplica to the other duplicas (“secondary duplicas”) of the same slice.

  • Patent number: 11567929
Abstract: This disclosure involves stitching event data using identity mappings. An event analytics system generates and stores an event dataset including first event data for a first set of events associated with a user. The first event data includes timestamps and a device identifier. The system identifies second event data for a second event associated with the user. The second event data includes a timestamp, the device identifier, and a user identifier. The system appends the second event data to the event dataset. Based on the second event data, the system generates and stores an identity mapping that maps the device identifier to the user identifier. Asynchronously to generating and storing the event dataset, based on the identity mapping and a predetermined look-back window, the system updates the first event data to include the user identifier.

  • Patent number: 11568688
Abstract: A system is described that can include a first database, a simulator, and a second database. The first database can store data indicating operation of at least one module within a computing device of an autonomous vehicle. The simulator can receive the stored data from the first database. The simulator can generate, based on the received data, a simulation of the operation of the at least one module. The simulator can identify at least one portion of the simulation that indicates a deviation between the collected data and the simulated operation of the autonomous vehicle. The simulator can analyze the at least one portion of the simulation to generate metrics for the at least one portion of the simulation. The metrics can be used to avoid another deviation between the collected data and the simulated operation of the autonomous vehicle. The second database can store the metrics.

  • Patent number: 11557110
Abstract: Techniques are described for selective extraction of color attributes from digital images that overcome the challenges experienced in conventional systems for color extraction. In an implementation, a user applies a region selector to a source image to select a portion of the source image for color attribute extraction. A graphics editing system identifies a selected region of the source image as well as visual objects of the source image included as part of the selected region. The graphics editing system iterates through the selected visual objects and extracts color attributes from the visual objects, such as color values, patterns, gradients, gradient stops, opacity, color area, and so forth. The graphics editing system then generates a color palette that includes the extracted color attributes, and the color palette is able to be utilized for various image editing tasks, such as digital image creation and transformation.

  • Publication number: 20220391264
Abstract: Various embodiments include a parallel processing computer system that enables parallel instances of a program to synchronize at disparate addresses in memory. When the parallel program instances need to exchange data, the program instances synchronize based on a mask that identifies the program instances that are synchronizing. As each program instance reaches the point of synchronization, the program instance blocks and waits for all other program instances to reach the point of synchronization. When all program instances have reached the point of synchronization, at least one program instance executes a synchronous operation to exchange data. The program instances then continue execution at respective and disparate return addresses.
