Linkages are used to determine one or more suspect records for each customer record. A heat map is generated to provide an indication of trustworthiness of the multiple records based on the reputation score associated with the origin of each record.

The selected source data record is updated with the determined attributes to form the master data record. The selected source data record remains active in its database and becomes the master data record in response to the updating, and the at least one candidate data record is deactivated.
