  • Publication number: 20190362718
Abstract: An artificial intelligence (AI) system is provided. The AI system simulates functions of human brain such as recognition and judgment by utilizing a machine learning algorithm such as deep learning, etc. and an application of the AI system. A method, performed by an electronic device, of outputting a response to a speech input by using an application, includes receiving the speech input, obtaining text corresponding to the speech input by performing speech recognition on the speech input, obtaining metadata for the speech input based on the obtained text, selecting at least one application from among a plurality of applications for outputting the response to the speech input based on the metadata, and outputting the response to the speech input by using the selected at least one application.

  • Publication number: 20170331689
Abstract: A method and a system for facilitating social interactions of users are provided. The method includes provisioning a networking application to a user device. The networking application is configured to facilitate a formation of a social network for a user upon user registration. The social network includes a plurality of members related to the user within a pre-defined degree of separation. Each member is associated with a credibility metric value. Further, the method includes receiving user input indicative of user's interest to interact with other members on the social network. Moreover, the method includes dynamically creating a sub-network of members for the user to interact with upon receiving the user input. The sub-network of members is created by pruning one or more members from among the plurality of members associated with the social network at least based on the credibility metric value for the each member.

  • Publication number: 20150249693
Abstract: The various embodiments herein disclose a method and system for enabling communication between at least two communication devices using an animated character in real-time. The method comprises establishing a communication session between a first communication device and a second communication device, transmitting a voice signal and an event message from the first communication device to the second communication device, analyzing the voice signal and an event message by a data analyzer module, creating an animation sequence corresponding to the animated character by an animation engine, displaying the animated character in the second communication device and enabling the animated character to perform a plurality of pre-defined actions on the second communication device. The plurality of pre-defined actions herein comprises at least one of selecting an emotion or performing an activity by the animated character based on one or more control instructions from the first communication device.

  • Patent number: 9043467
Abstract: A network device, capable of understanding communications between an end user and the core network on a RAN network is disclosed. In some embodiments, the device is able to decode the control plane and the user plane. As such, it is able to determine when the end user has requested multimedia content. Once this is known, the device can optimize the delivery of that content in several ways. In one embodiment, the device requests the content from the content server (located in the core network) and transmits this content in a just-in-time manner to the end user. In another embodiment, the device automatically changes the encoding and resolution of the content, based on overall monitored network traffic. In another embodiment, the device automatically selects or modifies the format and resolution options based on overall bandwidth limitations, independent of the end user.

  • Publication number: 20110047058
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for generating a model for predicting loan behavior, including receiving loan data for a plurality of loans; preparing the loan data for analysis; grouping the loans into a plurality of hierarchical segments based on shared characteristics; generating a logistic regression model for each segment; and generating an overall prediction model for at least one of prepayment, delinquency, and default across the plurality of segments. Grouping the loans into a plurality of segments based on shared characteristics may include grouping the loans based on loan type, change in Housing Price Index (HPI) since origination, and loan age. Generating a logistic regression model for each segment may include generating a regression model for the probabilities of each of prepayment, default, and delinquency for each of the segments.
