Publication number: 20180360252Abstract: Apparatus is provided for catching falling leaves including needles from trees, and for enclosing trees for transport and disposal. The apparatus presented comprise a collar-style container for attachment to a tree's trunk, leaf or needle catcher material, clips or other components for securing the catcher material to the tree, which catcher material may surround the tree, and means to close the catcher material to enclose the tree. A user may use the apparatus to maintain a tidy space under and around a tree while the tree is present in the user's chosen place, and to keep the tree's leaves or needles from falling throughout the user's home while the tree is being removed. The present invention solves problems with the currently available means of keeping the area around a tree and the objects under the tree tidy, and with disposal of the tree.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Inventor: Le-Ann Anderson

Patent number: 9014657Abstract: A mobile application for execution on a handheld computing device stores data regarding connections to public safety answering points with which to share information in an emergency situation and establishes connections with an appropriate public safety answering point upon activation of an emergency button, wherein the connections include voice, text, image and video connections. A user is able to create a list of contacts for a private social emergency response network with which to send previously stored private information in an emergency. In an emergency, the mobile application establishes a platform via which the user and those on the private social emergency response network can share information. The mobile application also sends previously stored private information to those on the list during an emergency.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2012Date of Patent: April 21, 2015Assignee: Fress Emergency Service, S.L.Inventors: Gregory L. Rohde, Francisco Rojo Ortiz, Carla Ann Anderson, Bengt Simon, Ernest Jozef Edgar Berkhout

Publication number: 20110208074Abstract: The digital EKG machine is used to provide an accurate reading of the voltage between pairs of these electrodes, and the muscle activity that they measure from different directions. The main components of the digital EKG machine are the info red laser lens, which is the reading source for the EKG machine. It will track each parts of the body as it glad slowly to different area of accurate testing. The extended lens is used to make sure each section is properly recording on the miniature CD. The main components of the portable printer are the CD slot, which will hold the miniature CD. The alpha keyboard is used to record the patient name and date of birth or accuracy. The display monitor will allow the doctors and nurses to ensure accurate results.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2010Publication date: August 25, 2011Inventor: Pamela Ann Anderson

Publication number: 20050159497Abstract: Method and devices for rapidly fabricating monolithic aerogels, including aerogels containing chemical sensing agents, are disclosed. The method involves providing a gel precursor solution or a preformed gel in a sealed vessel with the gel or gel precursor at least partially filling the internal volume of the vessel and the sealed vessel being positioned between opposed plates of a hot press; heating and applying a restraining force to the sealed vessel via the hot press plates (where the restraining force is sufficient to minimize substantial venting of the vessel); and then controllably releasing the applied restraining force under conditions effective to form the aerogel. A preferred device for practicing the method is in the form of a hot press having upper and lower press plates, and a mold positioned between the upper and lower plates. Doped aerogel monoliths and their use as chemical sensors are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2004Publication date: July 21, 2005Inventors: Ben Gauthier, Ann Anderson, Smitesh Bakrania, Mary Mahony, Ronald Bucinell

Patent number: 6352732Abstract: A process for preparing a coated low-fat and fat-free pretzels having a surface area to inner volume ratio of from about 22 inches−1 (8.66 cm−1) to about 40 inches−1 (15.75 cm−1), a pH of about 8 or less, a digestible fat content of less than 3 g per 28 g serving, and a moisture content of from about 1% to about 4%. The large surface area to inner volume ratio permits the use of reduced concentrations of caustic solution and facilitates drying. Coated pretzels are prepared by: (1) applying a warm coating comprising a carbohydrate selected from modified starch, corn syrup solids, maltodextrins, dextrins, and mixtures thereof; water; and preferably flavoring to ready-to-eat pretzels while tumbling; (2) adding sugar and optionally salt to the tumbling pretzels; (3) removing the pretzels from the tumbling device; and (4) drying the pretzels with the products stationary. The pretzels have substantially improved texture, taste and flavor display.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2001Date of Patent: March 5, 2002Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Co.Inventors: David Arthur Lanner, Gerald C. Patent number: 5882999Abstract: A process for making metal features in an insulator layer in integrated circuits is disclosed. The process involves depositing an antireflective coating layer of a material such as TiN over the insulator layer patterning both the ARC and the insulator with a series of channels or apertures vias and depositing a metal such as tungsten over the ARC and in the channels and apertures. The metal can then be planarized by CMP using the insulator as an etch top.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1996Date of Patent: March 16, 1999Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Christine Ann Anderson, Edward Daniel Buker, John Edward Cronin, Gloria Jean Kerszykowski, David Charles Thomas
