  • Patent number: 5829064
Abstract: A pair of goggles includes a pair of ring frames made of plastic material, a pair of lenses of rigid material respectively secured in the ring frames, a bridge mounted between the ring frames, and a strap. Each ring frame includes an annular protective wall formed on an inner side thereof for close contact with an eye socket. Each ring frame further includes an extension strip integrally formed from a lateral side thereof. Each extension strip is made of plastic material and deformable in response to a contour of the user's head, thereby providing a close contact with the sides of the user's head. A buckle is mounted to a distal end of each extension strip for engagement with the strap.

  • Patent number: 5807431
Abstract: A water-borne polyurethane modified cement composition is prepared from a dispersion of a water-dispersible polyurethane, a cross-linking agent, which is a polycarbodimide having N.dbd.C.dbd.N functional groups, and cement. Optionally, a water-reducing agent, and a surfactant can be added. The modified cement composition has higher tensile strength, elongation, and water resistance.

  • Patent number: 5799338
Abstract: A pair of swimming goggles includes two frames, two rigid lenses respectively received in the frames, a strap, and two clamping blocks each having a bore. Each frame includes a slot defined in an outer side thereof. Each end of the strap is extended through the associated block, wound through the associated slot, and then again extended through the associated clamping block, thereby forming an upper strap section and a lower strap section which are located at a position above the ears of a user. The first end and the second end of the strap are securely attached to a buckle, thereby allowing adjustment of the length of the strap in response to the shape of the head of the user.

  • Patent number: 5748896
Abstract: A method for managing network services on the plurality of network servers in a computer network. The method includes the step of providing at least one service component in a component repository. The service component corresponds to one of the network services. There is also included the step of providing a server manager component, which communicates with the component repository to ascertain the presence of the service component. Additionally, the method includes the step of executing a service object associated with the service component. When executed, the service object communicates with the plurality of network servers to obtain network service instantiation data relating to instantiations of the one of the network services on the plurality of network servers. The method also includes the step of passing the network service instantiation data to a server manager window component for displaying a status of the instantiations responsive to the network service instantiation data.

  • Patent number: 5706526
Abstract: A pair of swimming goggles includes a main frame body with two slots respectively defined in two sides thereof, two elastic straps, and two buckles. Each elastic strap includes a first end, a second end, and a mediate section, each elastic strap being wound through the associated slot. The first end of one of the straps has one of the buckles attached thereto, while the second end of the other strap has the other buckle attached thereto, thereby allowing adjustment of the lengths of the straps in response to a shape of a head of the user.
