  • Publication number: 20030043369
Abstract: An automated optical inspection system having a marking system for marking areas of a board containing one or more defects with a mark or marks which are readily visible to the naked eye and which indicated the type of defect in the area being marked. Such systems may be formed from existing systems by attaching a light source to the system camera and using the light source to identify the portion of a board being inspected so that an operator can manually mark the board, or may be systems that include automated or semi-automated marking systems for marking the board.

  • Patent number: 5791825
Abstract: An apparatus for building a horizontal underground barrier by cutting through soil and depositing a slurry, preferably on which cures into a hardened material. The apparatus includes a digging means for cutting and removing soil to create a void under the surface of the ground and injection means for inserting barrier-forming material into the void. In one embodiment, the digging means is a continuous cutting chain. Mounted on the continuous cutting chain are cutter teeth for cutting through soil and discharge paddles for removing the loosened soil. This invention includes a barrier placement machine, a method for building an underground horizontal containment barrier using the barrier placement machine, and the underground containment system. Preferably the underground containment barrier goes underneath and around the site to be contained in a bathtub-type containment.

  • Patent number: 4146992
Abstract: A wheeled toy with at least one wheel having a hollow thin-walled pliant toroidal tube formed from a piece of thin flexible material such as fabric and containing a relatively rigid sleeve disposed within the tube interior in surrounding relation to the inner annular wall portion of the toroid and soft spongy stuffing material, such as cotton. The wheel is rotatably mounted on the toy body by means of an axle extending through the central openings in the toroid and sleeve. A method of fabricating the wheel.

  • Patent number: 4095818
Abstract: A trailer frame for carrying tall, heavy loads includes a pair of parallel frame members of generally Z-shaped cross-sectional configuration joined together by cross-bracing to form a rigid structural frame in which the bottom flanges of the frame members extend inwardly to provide means for supporting a load inside the trailer frame. A pair of suspension springs and a tongue adapted for connection to a towing vehicle are secured to portions of the frame members located above the plane of the load-supporting flanges so as to lower the c.g. of the load. The front portion of the tongue has a step-neck for positioning a coupler at towing height above the plane of the load-supporting flanges. The tongue together with suspension spring brackets and fender braces are rigidly affixed to the frame members in a manner which increases the torsional resistance of the trailer frame.

  • Patent number: 4035015
Abstract: A trailer has an outer metal framework for supporting the trailer flatbed, and a series of upright sidewall sleeves mounted along each side of the flatbed frame. Each sidewall sleeve comprises a sheet piece rolled to form an elongated tubular section adjacent a generally planar flanged section extending laterally away from one side of the tubular section. The flanged sections of the sidewall sleeves are rigidly attached to the flatbed framework, and provide means for bolting the trailer side panels in place. The tubular sections of the sidewall sleeves provide structural strength for the side panels and also provide a means for holding support struts for a canopy top which covers the trailer flatbed.
