Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods of detecting the presence or absence of one or more infectious diseases using quantitative approaches. In some aspects, the methods of the present disclosure include generating a spike-in mixture including target sample molecules (e.g., endogenous sample) and artificial molecules (e.g., spike in molecule, synthetic target-associated molecule), amplifying the spike in mixture to generate a co-amplified spike in mixture, and performing capillary electrophoresis to detect the presence or absence of one or more infectious diseases.
