Abstract: A fluid transfer device for transferring fluid from a first fluid container to a second fluid container such as a piercing member protection device. The fluid transfer device can comprise a longitudinal axis A and a first connection part comprising connection means for connecting to said first fluid container. The fluid transfer device can further comprise a second connection part rotatably mounted to the first connection part by mounting means, and the second connection part can further comprise connection means for connecting said second fluid container. The mounting means can enable turning of said second connection part with respect to said first connection part. Such a device can allow a user to safely turn e.g., a syringe after assembly to read a volume indication or similar.
