  • Publication number: 20160239608
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for creating a synthesis from numerical data and textual information relating to wellbeing of an individual, including: a control entity including a processor, a memory coupled to the processor and at least a unit for obtaining and providing data, the control entity being further arranged to: obtain first data including numerical information from at least one wellbeing device, which device is arranged to monitor the individual's at least one wellbeing characteristic, obtain second data including free-form text in natural language format information, the information pertaining to the individual, execute semantic analysis for the obtained second data including free-form text, create a synthesis from the first data and the semantically analyzed second data, compare at least the values of wellbeing characteristic in the first data or second data to predetermined threshold values or to a previously determined synthesis. Corresponding method and computer implemented program are also presented.

  • Patent number: 9327284
Abstract: A sampling and assay device comprises at least three chamber portions connected together in a row. Each chamber portion defines a chamber separated by respective partitions. One end chamber is capable of receiving a sample. The other chambers contain reagent. In respect of each pair of adjacent chamber portions one of the adjacent chamber portions has the respective partition fixed thereto and the other of the adjacent chamber portions has a rupture member arranged to rupture the respective partition on relative movement of the adjacent chamber portions. Each pair of adjacent chamber portions have respective connection portions mated together, the connection portions being designed to allow further chamber portions identical to an intermediate chamber portion to be connected into said row.

  • Publication number: 20150081307
Abstract: An arrangement and a method for creating a synthesis from numerical data and textual information, and more particularly, relating to wellbeing of an individual. The arrangement includes a first information in a numerical form provided by a wellbeing device, for example, a second information including free-form text in natural language format provided by care-giving personnel, for example, and a control entity for obtaining the first information and the second information, wherein the control entity is arranged to semantically analyze the free-form text in natural language format of the second information in order to create a synthesis from the first information and the second information.

  • Patent number: 8697006
Abstract: A reagent or particles having reagent supported thereon are applied to a matrix material by a contact printing process for example in which the matrix material is brought into contact with a rotating contact roll having the reagent or particles having reagent supported thereon disposed thereon so as to transfer the reagent or particles having reagent supported thereon to the matrix material. Such a contact printing processes allow high speed and high volume production of an assay device.

  • Publication number: 20080260581
Abstract: A sampling and assay device comprises at least three chamber portions (1, 3, 4) connected together in a row. Each chamber portion (1, 3, 4) defines a chamber (11, 13, 27) and adjacent chambers (11, 13, 27) along the row are separated by respective partitions (14, 15). One end chamber (4) is capable of receiving a sample either on a swab or as a liquid. The other chambers (11, 13) contain reagent for performing the assay. Adjacent chamber portions (1, 3, 4) along the row are relatively movable towards each another. In respect of each pair of adjacent chamber portions (1, 3), one of the adjacent chamber portions (1) has the respective partition (14) fixed thereto and the other of the adjacent chamber portions (3) has a rupture member (17) arranged to rupture the respective partition (14) on relative movement of the adjacent chamber portions (1, 3).
