Abstract: The object of the present invention are an apparatus for reducing emissions of dust generated during braking of a vehicle equipped with a drum brake, in particular an automotive vehicle, comprising the brake shoe, having a friction material layer mounted on the shoe base, intended for mounting on the fixed disc of the said drum brake from the inner side of this brake's drum and at least one suction nozzle intended for connecting via the compressed air hose to a vacuum source, characterized in that the suction opening of the suction nozzle (3) is located outside the friction material layer (3a) of the brake shoe friction lining (1), and a vehicle braking system equipped with a drum brake, in particular an automotive vehicle, which comprises the apparatus mentioned above.
