  • Patent number: 8930989
Abstract: A system and method for providing supervised learning to associate profiles in video audiences is provided. The method includes: receiving data providing an association of consumer profiles and video decoders to households within a network; recording zapping events (patterns) created by consumers; and associating zapping patterns of consumers with households. The step of associating further includes: collecting external data and converting a format of the external data into an internal format; converting zapping logs into different data models that can be used to provide set top box signatures; providing the set top box signatures; using the set top box signatures with a list of set top boxes and profiles to provide an association rule; and applying the association rule to the set top box signatures to determine a list of profiles of the consumer profiles associated with a specific set top box of the set top boxes.

  • Publication number: 20090055862
Abstract: A system and method is provided for providing real time targeted rating to enable content placement for video audiences. The method includes determining if at least one set top box, located within a network having at least one set top box, is on or off, wherein being on is defined as a set top box having a zapping event occur within a predefined time period; determining what one or more viewer profiles are currently consuming content provided by a set top box within the network, wherein currently consuming refers to consuming within the predefined period; and determining targeted rating per a viewer profile that had been identified as currently consuming content via at least one of the set top boxes within the network.

  • Patent number: 7383740
Abstract: Pocket-size medical spirometer comprising a housing and a measurement unit (MU), for measuring rate of total flow when a user exhales through the spirometer. The MU comprises a fluidic jet oscillator adapted to generate oscillating flow with frequency dependent on the rate of flow therethrough. The MU is disposed within the housing so as to form a bypass flow path defined between an outer surface of the MU and an inner surface of the housing. A measurement flow path is defined through the fluidic jet oscillator, such that the total flow is divided into a bypass flow and a measurement flow, the latter being less than the former at least by an order of magnitude. • Patent number: 6477900
Abstract: A fluidic gas metering system interposed in a line running from a gas source to a user site to meter the gas stream being supplied to the user in a broad flowrate range defined by a low flowrate band at the lower end of the range, a medium band at the middle of the range and a high band at the upper end thereof. The system includes an input chamber which receives a stream of pressurized gas from the source and an output chamber from which the gas is supplied to the user. Intercoupling the chambers are three gas flow channels. The first channel is defined by a first fluidic generator operative only when the flowrate of the gas lies in the low band to yield periodic pulses whose frequency is proportional thereto. The second channel is defined by a second fluidic generator operative only when the flowrate of the gas lies in the medium band to yield periodic pulses whose frequency is proportional thereto.
