Abstract: Gastrointestinal disorders, especially those in the very young and the very old which are manifested by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increased flatus, cramping, and the like, are treated by the oral administration to the patient of a therapeutically-effective amount of an aqueous extract of oatmeal. This extract is especially effective in the treatment of infant colic and infant intolerance of milk and synthetic formulas.
