  • Patent number: 10904839
Abstract: This document discloses a solution for inter-cell interference control in a cellular communication system. A method comprises: detecting, by an access node managing an interfered cell in a cellular communication system, inter-cell interference from an interfering cell; determining whether or not interference cancellation performed for a signal received through the access node is capable of cancelling said inter-cell interference; and controlling, on a basis of a result of said determining, uplink transmit power of a terminal device on time-frequency resources allocated to the terminal device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2016
Date of Patent: January 26, 2021
Assignee: Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy
Inventors: Venkatkumar Venkatasubramanian, Anna Maria Lukowa

  • Patent number: 10250349
Abstract: An example technique includes receiving, by a user device, a first signal including a first user device-specific signal from a base station and one or more interfering signals, the first user device-specific signal being received based on a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS), determining, by the user device, whether the user device can perform interference cancellation for the one or more interfering signals, sending, by the user device to the base station, an interference cancellation feedback message including at least, for each of the one or more interfering signals, an interference cancellation capability indication that indicates whether or not the user device can perform interference cancellation for the interfering signal, receiving an updated MCS, wherein the updated MCS is based, at least in part, on the interference from the interference cancellation feedback message, and receiving, by the user device based on the updated MCS, a second signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 15, 2015
Date of Patent: April 2, 2019
