    Abstract: A panel television mounting assembly includes a mounting frame, and a reversible shelf for supporting a television accessory either above or below the panel television. The mounting frame includes a back configured and arranged to be secured to a support structure such as a wall or a supporting spine structure on a console, and a front configured and arranged to receive and support a flat panel television. The reversible shelf can be assembled with the mounting frame in a first configuration wherein the shelf is adjacent the top of the mounting frame with for supporting a television accessory above a panel television, or in a second configuration wherein the shelf is adjacent the bottom of the mounting frame for supporting a television accessory below a panel television.
