Abstract: An internal latch for internally latching a door of a vehicle with respect to a cabin abutment member of the vehicle, comprising a base which is configured for attachment to an internal side of the door; and a clasp assembly comprising a clasp, where the clasp exhibits, with respect to the base, a storage position and a latching position, and where the clasp assembly is attached to the base by a deployment linkage allowing the clasp assembly to deploy from a retracted position, when the clasp is in the storage position, to a deployed position, when the clasp is in the latching position, according to a deployment movement; wherein the base, the clasp assembly and the deployment linkage form an articulated polygon.
