  • Publication number: 20150342674
Abstract: A catheter is usable to treat a hollow anatomical structure (HAS). The catheter comprises one or more shafts which extend away from a proximal end of the catheter toward a distal end thereof. The catheter further comprises an HAS constriction energy source located at or near the distal end of the catheter. The catheter further comprises at least one radially expandable transmural fluid delivery channel located in the catheter near the HAS constriction energy source.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 15, 2015
    Publication date: December 3, 2015
Inventors: Michael Mirizzi, Robert McRae, Halil Karabey, Anna Prestezog, Todd Schoenberger, Jeff Zalewski, Brady Esch
  • Publication number: 20080262308
Abstract: A fluid irrigation system comprises a small, flexible endoscope and a flexible sheath which is positioned coaxially over the endoscope. A working channel of the endoscope provides a path for introducing an irrigant fluid into a target body lumen or cavity. The irrigant and other fluids may then be removed from the target body lumen or cavity through an axial passage of the sheath. The volume or pressure of the irrigant fluid introduced into the body lumen or cavity is controlled by adjusting the outflow of fluid drained through the sheath.

  • Publication number: 20070248640
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for treating a hollow anatomical structure comprises an implant sized for insertion into a hollow anatomical structure. The implant comprises a plurality of loose, bulked fibers. The fibers are formed from one or more bioabsorbable materials. Upon implantation, the apparatus causes a partial occlusion of the hollow anatomical structure, followed by a complete or substantially complete occlusion.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 20, 2006
    Publication date: October 25, 2007
Inventors: Halil Karabey, Michael Mirizzi, Anna Prestezog

  • Publication number: 20060229668
Abstract: A method of treating a hollow anatomical structure of a patient comprises implanting a bioabsorbable fibrous body in a hollow anatomical structure. The body is secured in the hollow anatomical structure to limit migration of the body within the hollow anatomical structure.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 25, 2006

  • Publication number: 20060229669
Abstract: A method of treating a vein comprises accessing a vein at an access point spaced from a sapheno-femoral junction. A bioabsorbable fibrous body is implanted into the vein through the access point. The body is moved in the vein toward the sapheno-femoral junction.

  • Publication number: 20060212055
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a hollow anatomical structure comprises an implant comprising a plurality of bioabsorbable fibers. The implant has a compressed state in which the implant can fit within a cylindrical tube having an inside diameter of 8 French or less. The implant is expandable from the compressed state to an expanded state in which the implant has sufficient size to span the inside diameter of a cylindrical tube having an inside diameter of 12 French or greater.
