    Abstract: An imaging system for a marine vessel is provided. The marine vessel includes a propulsion system configured to provide thrust that propels the marine vessel in a propulsion direction having a surge component, a sway component, and a yaw component. The imaging system includes multiple imaging sensors positioned to image multiple directions around the marine vessel and configured to generate image data, a display device configured to display at least a portion of the image data, and a control system. The control system is configured to select a first portion of the image data based on each of the surge component, the sway component, and the yaw component of the propulsion direction, and display the selected first portion of the image data on the display device.

    Abstract: A method of controlling docking for a marine vessel includes receiving a global position measurement describing a global position of the marine vessel, defining a first navigation pathway through a marine navigation area between the global position of the marine vessel and a navigation target location, wherein the first navigation pathway includes a first set of geographical locations, generating a display representing the marine navigation area and the first navigation pathway on a user interface, receiving a user input via the user interface identifying a through point location to replace at least one geographical location in the first set of geographical locations, and defining an adjusted navigation pathway between the global position of the marine vessel and the navigation target location, wherein the adjusted navigation pathway defines a path through the marine navigation area configured to enable continuous surge movement of the marine vessel past the through point location.

    Abstract: A method for assisting a user operating a marine vessel, the marine vessel having an image sensor configured to collect imaging data for an area outside the marine vessel. The method includes collecting imaging data via the image sensor for the area outside the marine vessel and analyzing the imaging data to identify a wave within the area outside the marine vessel. The method further includes determining a size of the wave and/or a location of the wave relative to the marine vessel and determining whether the size and/or the location of the wave is beyond one or more thresholds. The method further includes automatically modifying an operation of the marine vessel when the size and/or location of the wave is beyond the one or more thresholds to thereby assist the user in managing an effect of the wave on the marine vessel.
