Abstract: Compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## in which A denotes a radical of the formula A.sup.1, A.sup.2 or A.sup.3 ##STR2## R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 in each case independently of one another denote hydrogen or halogen,the radicals R.sup.4 in each case independently of one another denote halogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)halogenoalkyl or nitro,R.sup.5 denotes (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)alkyl, which can be halogenated,X denotes oxygen or sulfur,n denotes a number from 0 to 2 andm denotes a number from 1 to 4 with the proviso that (R.sup.4).sub.m does not by itself denote halogen or by itself denote nitro, and where A=A.sup.1, salts thereof which can be used in agriculture, have advantageous acaricidal and insecticidal properties.Processes for the preparation of the compounds of the formula I are furthermore described.

Abstract: Combinations of compounds of the formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.5 denotes H or CH.sub.3 ; R.sub.26 denotes CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 ; ##STR2## with a selected insecticide from the group comprising phosphoric acid esters, carbamates and carboxylic acid esters, or an insecticide of the formula II ##STR3## in which R.sup.1 denotes H or F, R.sup.2 denotes F, halogenoalkoxy, (substituted) phenoxy or (substituted) pyridyloxy and R.sup.3 denotes H or Cl, or an active compound from the group comprising azocyclotin, binapacryl, bensultap, bisclofentezin, buprofecin, cartap, cyromacin, endosulfan, ethoproxyfen, fenoxycarb, flubenzimin, hexythiazox, ethofenprox, 5-[4-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-4-methylpentyl]-2-fluoro-1,3-diphenyl ether, 3-(2-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-2-(2-phenyl-4-thiazolyl)-propenenitrile and thiocyclam, with Bacillus thuringiensis or a nuclear-polyhedral or granulosis virus have surprising advantageous actions when used against harmful insects and acarides.

Abstract: The compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which A denotes N or N.fwdarw.0,R denotes a radical of the formula R.sup.4 --CY.sup.1 --NR.sup.5 --CY.sup.2 --NR.sup.6 --, ##STR2## R.sup.1 denotes halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl or alkylcarbonyl, where these radicals may be halogenated, nitro, cyano or carboxyl, R.sup.2 denotes halogenated alkoxy, halogenated alkenyloxy or halogenated alkynloxy, R.sup.3 denotes halogen, n denotes 0, 1 or 2, m denotes 0, 1, 2 or 3, and p denotes 0 or 1, and also the salts thereof, are advantageously suitable for combating noxious insects, acarides, nematodes or mollusks.

Abstract: The compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which X denotes CH.sub.2 or O,R.sup.1 denotes (subst.) pyridyl or (subst.) pyrimidyl,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 denote alkyl or alkenyl or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 denote an alkylene chain,R.sup.4 denotes --H, --CN, --CCl.sub.3, --C.tbd.CH, alkyl, F, or --C(S)--NH.sub.2,R.sup.5 denotes pyridyl, furyl, thienyl, phthalimidyl, di(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylmaleimidyl, thiophthalimidyl, dihydrophthalimidyl or tetrahydrophthalimidyl, which may all be substituted, or substituted phenyl, orR.sup.4 and R.sup.5 --together with the carbon atom bridging them--denote an optionally substituted indanyl, cyclopentenoyl or cyclopentenyl radical,have advantageous insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal properties.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula I ##STR1## in which R denotes alkyl, R.sub.1 denotes alkyl, alkoxy, alkylmercapto, alkylamino or dialkylamino, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of one another denote H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, benzyl or furylmethyl, R.sub.4 denotes alkyl, alkoxymethyl, alkylmercaptomethyl or phenyl and X denotes oxygen or sulfur, have valuable insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal properties.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula I ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen, (subst.) alkyl, cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenylethyl or (subst.) phenyl, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are alkyl and X is oxygen or sulfur are effective insecticides and acaricides and especially suitable for combating plant lice.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 denotes H, halogen, alkyl or CF.sub.3, R.sup.2 denotes H, halogen, alkyl or CF.sub.3, R.sup.3 denotes H, halogen, CN or alkyl, R.sup.4 denotes H, halogen, alkyl, phenyl or halogenophenyl, R.sup.5 denotes H, alkyl, alkynyl or CN and R.sup.6 denotes substituted dimethylcyclopropyl or 2-phenylisobutyl radicals, are effective insecticides and acaricides of the pyrethroid type.

Abstract: Phosphoric and phosphonic acid derivatives of substituted 4-hydroxyquinolines of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 denotes alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, (di)alkylamino or phenyl, R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 denote alkyl, R.sup.3 denotes H, halogen, carbalkoxy, substituted carbonamido or CN, R.sup.5 denotes H, halogen, NO.sub.2, alkyl, alkoxy or CF.sub.3 and X denotes O or S, are effective insecticides and fungicides.

Abstract: Insecticidal and acaricidal compositions which contain a combination of the compound I ##STR1## the weight ratio of compound I to compounds II to VI being preferably 10:100 to 50:1, which compositions are distinguished by their synergistic effect against acaridae and the eggs thereof, and against insects.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl, No.sub.2, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -thioalkyl or OCH.sub.3, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represent C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur and n is a whole number in the range of from 1 to 3 exhibit good insecticidal, acaricidal and nematodicidal properties.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkoxy, NO.sub.2 or S-CH.sub.3, R.sub.1 represents hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, R.sub.2 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylamino, C.sub.3 -C.sub.8 -alkenylamino, N,N-di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylamino), C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 -cycloalkylamino or a saturated N-heterocycle having from 4 to 8 C-atoms altogether of which 1 or 2 may stand in the side chain and in which one CH.sub.2 group of the cycle may be replaced by oxygen or sulfur, R.sub.3 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur and n is zero or a whole number in the range of from 1 to 3 exhibit a good herbicidal effect on some economically important weed grasses and dicotyledonous weeds and simultaneously they have excellent insecticidal and acaricidal properties.
