    Abstract: A chronic kidney disease (“CKD”) machine learning prediction system is disclosed. The example system is configured to provide a projection as to whether a patient may progress to a next stage of CKD and/or whether the patient may need to urgently start dialysis. The machine learning algorithms disclosed herein include dynamic, multifactorial predictive algorithms that are programmed to consider clinical, pharmacological, and extra-clinical factors that adversely impact kidney function. The predictions provided by the machine learning system convey information to clinicians for improving CKD treatment before the disease worsens. In some instances, the predictions may be used for selecting a treatment plan, a dialysis treatment, and/or a renal replacement therapy (“RRT”).
