    Abstract: A technique is presented involving a laser diode stablized in a single mode employing active cooling at a specific current density to produce a preselected wavelength of coherent radiation. This output is used to expose for a very short time, a very sensitive holographic recording material before the diode can return to an unstable multi-mode, hence multi-wavelength radiation condition which would have adverse consequences to the hologram-making process.
