Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating and updating settlement rules for determining behavior of a payment network during settlement transactions. One exemplary method includes receiving a request related to creating a settlement rule and/or modifying a settlement rule. The exemplary method also includes causing, by a computing device, an interface, associated with a settlement form, to be displayed to a user. The exemplary method further includes receiving a first response to a first inquiry of the settlement form from the user, altering one of the interface and/or a subsequent interface of the settlement form to include a second inquiry, based on the first response, and causing the altered one of the interface and/or the subsequent interface to be displayed to the user, whereby one or more subsequent inquiries in the settlement form are consistent with prior responses.
