Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein relate generally to making organizational predictions (e.g., a prediction of an optimal staffing level), and clinical operational predictions (e.g., a prediction of an improvement to a care pathway) in a healthcare context. To this end, in some embodiments, patients are classified into hierarchical categories (e.g., categories ranging from most severe to least severe). The classifications of the patients may then be used to make the organizational prediction, and/or the clinical operational prediction.
