  • Publication number: 20230417371
Abstract: A method for controlling distribution of pressure and flow in a water supply system which includes a plurality of pumping stations is provided, including: (a) reading in a computer-assisted hydraulic model of the water supply system, the hydraulic model mapping a time-dependent distribution of pressure and flow, (b) determining resource-optimized pressure and flow target values for the pumping stations for a specified forecast period using the computer-assisted hydraulic model by a first method of optimization, (c) reading in a pumping model behavior for a pumping station, the pumping model mapping an operational behavior of pumping devices of the pumping station, (d) determining resource optimized operating parameters for the pumping devices of the pumping station by the pumping model at a specified time by a second method of optimization, and (e) outputting the resource optimized operating parameters for controlling the pumping devices of the pumping station.

  • Patent number: 10921758
Abstract: To control a technical system having multiple system components, multiple functional modules access a common data model. The functional modules in this case include an interface module, a simulation module and an output module. The data model includes data components associated with the system components and simulation model data for a simulation model of the technical system. The functional modules are actuated by a flow controller, wherein the flow controller and a respective functional module have functional-module-specific selection data transmitted between them that the respective functional module takes as a basis for accessing model data of the data model. The interface module continually captures operating data of the technical system and stores them in the data model by means of selection-data-specific access.

  • Patent number: 10551802
Abstract: Provided is a method for operating a system including components controllable by control variables, including the determining of at least one optimized control variable at an optimization period for minimizing or maximizing a target function of the system in such a way that at least one system variable fulfills predetermined secondary conditions with respect to the control period, wherein the determining includes the establishment of an evaluation function for each of the secondary conditions to evaluate a change of the system variable at the end of the optimization period based on a current value of the system variable at the beginning of the optimization period, based on a gradient of the system variable relating to the secondary condition and maximally achievable over the control period, and based on a gradient relating to the secondary condition and minimally achievable over the control period.

  • Patent number: 7725629
Abstract: A processor arrangement having a plurality of processor units and a control computer. Each of the processor units is connected to at least one adjacent processor unit and has one control element and at least one communications interface for providing a data communications link with an adjacent processor unit. The control computer is connected to one of the processor units, and is configured for exchanging information with the processor unit and for assigning one control element of the plurality of control elements to a device that is electrically connected to the processor arrangement for the control of the device.
