  • Patent number: 12000612
Abstract: A soffit vent for venting air from an interior of a house having a soffit includes a housing having a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion is coupled to the rear portion and forms an interior volume and a length. The rear portion has an air inlet for coupling to an air source and an outlet for coupling to the front portion. The front portion has a body having an inlet for coupling to the outlet of the rear portion, an outlet port, a length that permits the body to be positioned under a soffit. • Patent number: 10731891
Abstract: A soffit vent is provided. The soffit vent includes a housing having a front portion and a rear portion forming an interior volume. The housing is configured to be placed against a soffit of a house and provides air communication from an exhaust fan via an air duct to the ambient environment. The front portion includes an air outlet port and the rear portion includes an air inlet port that is attached to the air duct to provide air communication to the ambient environment. The front portion is telescopically received by the rear portion to form an adjustable length that allows a user to extend the adjustable length beyond a far edge of the soffit. In this way, warm, moist air is dispersed away from the soffit by the air outlet port in order to prevent the same air from being drawn back in.

  • Publication number: 20180156482
Abstract: A soffit vent for dispersing moist air. The soffit vent can receive moisture through an interface unit which is connected to an elbow unit. The elbow unit is constructed to guide the moisture into an extension unit. The extension unit then leads the moisture to an outdoor area through an end unit. A flap unit is disposed between the extension unit and the end unit to prevent a backdraft of moisture. The end unit has a plurality of fixed baffles that are oriented upwardly to direct moisture upward and away from a building.
