  • Patent number: 4426121
Abstract: A plug for masking switching contacts, for instance in terminal strips of telecommunication devices, comprising an upper pulling head, a widened central supporting portion, and two lower spring tongues with a guiding web disposed therebetween. The plug is integrally formed and has the function of masking or, respectively, separating solderless, screwless and stripless switching contacts (so-called LSA-PLUS contacts) in terminal strips, wherein the contact points of these switching contacts are not touched by any parts of the plug so as to avoid contamination.

  • Patent number: 4412374
Abstract: The subject-matter of the invention is a device for electrically clamping or connecting a cable wire in the longitudinal slot of an upright terminal element, the laterally deflectable legs and lugs of which are not supported at their sides, e.g. by a plastic material. The device comprises a plunger (1) adapted to be longitudinally movable within a housing against the action of a coil spring (4) and carrying at its forward end a pressure member (1a). Said pressure member (1a) is disposed to be movable within a sleeve (3) fixed to the housing and has a shape matching the cross-sectional configuration of the terminal element. The projecting sleeve surrounds the outer faces of the components of the terminal element and supports the same laterally during the clamping operation. Furthermore the sleeve (3) comprises a cutting edge (3a) cooperating with a cutting edge formed on the pressure member (1a).

  • Patent number: 4410225
Abstract: In a universal connector (1) for a solderless, screwless and stripless system in which the opposing leaf spring arms of a contact element are oppositely torqued upon insertion of the conductor between them at a 45.degree. angle. The connector is intended for testing, connecting and isolating conductor tracks. It is possible with this invention to obtain a twofold utilizability and thus an inexpensive manufacture of the shell halves (2, 2a) of the universal connector (1) by the fact that in two identical shell halves (2, 2a) of the universal connector (1) there are provided with either two contact blades (3, 3a) or a printed board (4).

  • Patent number: 4283103
Abstract: An electrical crimp connector has a plurality of two armed connecting elements made of a flat resilient contact material having a central slot. The main part of each slot extends from a widened entry aperture, is bounded by sharp edges and has a width less than the thickness of the metal core of a wire so that when the wire is pushed into the slot the insulation of wire is severed so the wire contacts the connecting element. A clamping element is associated with each connecting element and has a support surface on which the connecting element is fixed. The connecting elements are interconnected in pairs and have a number of interconnected clamping elements extending around them and are combined to form a unit having wire guides. The connecting elements are adapted to be plugged in on the support strip which is releasably connected to the insulating member on both sides of longitudinally extending lines, separate wire guides being provided on the parts which are releasable from one another.
