  • Patent number: 8437963
Abstract: A method enables clinical decision support based on test results for a plurality of tested biomarkers. The method is executed by a data reduction module (15) and comprises the steps of receiving the test results from a testing facility (11); accessing a predefined structure in which available biomarkers are associated with hosts, at least one host being associated with a plurality of biomarkers; identifying a set of hosts by mapping the tested biomarkers to the structure; assigning a host value to each host in said set of hosts based on the test results of the tested biomarker(s) mapped to the host; and providing input data indicative of the set of hosts and the assigned host values for input to a computer-based decision engine (13) for generating the clinical decision support (12). The data reduction module (15) may be included in a system and implemented by computer-executable instructions running on a data processing device, such as a PC or a web server.

  • Publication number: 20050131650
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for determining at least one kinetic parameter for the interaction of an analyte in solution with an immobilized ligand from a data set comprising a plurality of different binding curves, each of which represents the progress of the interaction of the analyte with the ligand with time, comprising the steps of: a) performing at least one fit of the whole data set or subsets thereof to a predetermined kinetic model for the interaction; b) based on the result of the fit or fits performed in step a), identifying and excluding binding curves of unacceptable quality; c) performing a final fit to the remaining data set; and d) obtaining therefrom the kinetic parameter or parameters. The invention also relates to an analytical system for carrying out the method, as well as a computer program, computer program product and computer system for performing the method.
